Route A:
From the A1 highway
("Autostrada del Sole"),
Florence-Rome section |
Leave the highway at the exit Chiusi/Chianciano Terme; follow the signs to Sarteano (approx. 7 km from the highway exit);
From Sarteano follow the signs to Radicofani. After approx. 16 km, prior to reaching the small town of Radicofani, there is a crossroads: take the direction to Pienza, Contignano, on your right, and drive along strada provinciale No. 53 (SP 53 della Val d'Orcia) for 3 km until you reach Casa al Treggia (look for the sign on the left side). Parking is behind the house. |
Route B:
From Florence, Siena - via Cassia (SS No. 2) |
From Florence, A1 Certosa interchange, take the Palio freeway to Siena. When approaching Siena, do not leave the freeway, but drive until the Siena sud exit and from there, follow the signs to the via Cassia (SS No. 2), southbound to Rome.
Approx. 3 km after San Quirico d'Orcia take the strada provinciale No. 53 (SP 53 della Val d'Orcia) and drive until marker 22.6 km. On the right there is a sign for Casa al Treggia. Parking is behind the house. |
Route C:
From Rome, via Cassia (SS No. 2) |
Drive along the via Cassia (SS No. 2) until km 152.6, where you will see a sign to Radicofani.
At the crossroads preceding the entrance to this town, follow the signs to Sarteano, on the right side. After approx. 5 km you will reach a crossroads. Follow the sign to Pienza, Contignano, on the left, and take the strada provinciale No. 53 (SP 53 della Val d'Orcia) for 3 Km, until you reach the sign for Casa al Treggia.
